Prime Day is a massive 48-hour sale event exclusive to Amazon Prime members, typically held twice a year—once in July, and again in October. It’s Amazon’s way of launching early holiday-style savings across every category: electronics, fashion, beauty, home, toys, and more.
It’s a can’t-miss event for Prime members—and one of the best times of the year to stock up, gift shop early, or treat yourself.

How to Get Ready for Prime Day 2025

1. Sign Up for Amazon Prime
You must be a Prime member to shop Prime Day deals.

2. Watch for Free Amazon Credit Offers
Amazon often runs early offers to earn free credit by:
- Watching Prime Video
- Using Amazon Cash

3. Shop Early via Alexa
Using an Echo or Alexa-enabled device? You’ll often unlock early access to select Prime Day deals—just say “Alexa, what are my deals?”
4. Plan for Lightning Deals
Lightning Deals go FAST. Bookmark the Deals Page and be ready to act quickly.
5. Use Your List + Add Items to Cart Early
Add items to your Amazon wish list or cart now. If they go on sale, you’ll be notified and can check out quickly. You can also join waitlists for out-of-stock Lightning Deals—they often come back!
6. Choose “No-Rush Shipping” to Earn Credits
If your order isn’t urgent, select “No-Rush Shipping” at checkout. You’ll often earn credits toward Prime Pantry or digital purchases.
