“In New Orleans, the pecan was a staple of French Quarter cuisine. Whether in pies or pralines, the folks from N’Awlins love a sweet pecan. My mom used to make her famous meringue pecan treats for our family, neighbors and anyone passing through; spreading joy in each hand made batch!.
