If you purchased fresh or frozen raw chicken products in the past, you may be eligible for payment as part of a $22.5 million antitrust settlement. This is the latest round in a series of settlements totaling over $200 million, resolving claims that major chicken producers conspired to inflate prices, causing consumers to overpay for chicken.
Who’s Eligible?
Anyone who bought fresh or frozen raw chicken (whole or cut-up, excluding ground chicken) for personal use in certain U.S. states from January 1, 2009 through July 31, 2019 may qualify.
Eligible states include:
California, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, and Wisconsin.
