How To Order Your Free POW/MIA Poster:

- Choose Your Poster Size: You’ll have the option to select either the small 11″x16″ poster or the large 20″x30″ poster. The small posters are available in increments of 2, 5, 10, 20, or 40, while the large posters come in increments of 2, 5, or 10.
- Place Your Order: If you need more posters than the given increments or both small and large sizes, you’ll need to place multiple orders. For example, to get 40 small posters, you’ll need to place two separate orders of 20 posters each.
- Complete the Sign-Up: Fill out the form with your information, and your posters will be on their way. Keep in mind that requesting additional posters in the comments section won’t result in receiving more than the specified increments.
National POW/MIA Recognition Day
Established in 1979 through a proclamation signed by President Jimmy Carter, National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed on the third Friday of September every year. This day is dedicated to honoring those who were held captive and returned, as well as those who remain missing.
The national-level ceremony is traditionally held at the Pentagon, featuring members from each branch of military service and high-ranking officials. Across the country, additional ceremonies take place on military installations, ships at sea, state capitols, schools, and veterans’ facilities, all sharing the common purpose of remembrance and respect.
Since 1999, the POW/MIA Accounting community has created a commemorative poster each year to honor this day. The 2024 edition of the poster continues this tradition, serving as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by so many.
